Cremation is a much more affordable option than burial. Every situation is different, but in general cremation services are about one-third the cost of burial services. When you break it down the price disparity makes sense. The average cost of a cremation urn is much lower than the average cost of a casket. A headstone and burial plot is not required with cremation. Burial plots are becoming more expensive because their availability is becoming increasingly scarce. Furthermore, there are cost savings in terms of being able to avoid embalming. Cost is definitely the biggest reason why cremation has seen a big rise in popularity over the last number of years.
It is virtually impossible to quote you for an actual cost of cremation because it depends on several different factors and personal choices that you make. The total cost depends on factors such as the distance travelled to obtain and transport the deceased, how long we must safeguard the deceased prior to the cremation, the type of ceremony you choose with the cremation, the type of urn you choose, and the fee we are charged by the external crematory.
Although it is difficult to provide you with an upfront cost of cremation, families have told us that our cremation services are some of the most affordable in all of Texas. We recommend you contact us so we can work together to get a rough estimate of what your cremation cost will look like. When you reach out to us we will share our General Price List (GPL) and we will quickly walk you through every decision that needs to be made. The process is quite easy and efficient, and will help you compare our prices to other funeral homes.
The FTC’s Funeral Rule grants you the right to purchase and use a cremation urn from another source. We do not prevent you from claiming this right nor do we charge you an extra fee for choosing this option.
