In loving memory of Jayme Carabeth Johnson-Henderson, born on September 30, 1929, in McCamey, Texas, and peacefully passed away on December 19, 2023, in Weatherford, Texas. Jayme was the beloved daughter of M. T. Johnson and Doris Ola Lee – Rogers.
A dedicated researcher for General Dynamics, Jayme brought her intelligence and passion to her work, contributing seven to eight years in the research department. A proud graduate of Paschal High School, she cherished her education and continued to thrive intellectually.
Married to Roland Henderson from 1971 until his passing in 2004, Jayme found joy and strength in her faith as a member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Fort Worth. Her magnetic personality and exceptional social skills made her an incredible entertainer, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Known for her love of people, Jayme hosted holiday events for her family until the age of 90, emphasizing the importance of family bonds. Her children, Vickie and C.B. Burns, Stephanie Russell, and Courtney Blair, were the center of her world, as were her seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
An accomplished pianist with a Music degree from TCU, Jayme's talents extended to the kitchen, where she delighted in cooking for her loved ones. Her legacy lives on through her daughter Vickie, son-in-law C.B. Burns, daughter Stephanie, son Courtney, brother Rudy Johnson, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.
Jayme Carabeth Johnson-Henderson's graveside service will be held at the North Santo Cemetery in Santo, Texas, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 2 PM. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
