Alvin Wayne Barker was born on May 31, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas to his parents, Mose and Lucien Barker.  Alvin spent his entire life living in Fort Worth.  He was a true Texan.  Alvin attended Pacshal High School and excelled in anything that was mechanical in nature.  He completed HVAC training and was very accomplished at fixing anything related to that field.  He would often volunteer and was always happy to help anyone who needed help fixing their air conditioning system or refrigerator.  Alvin loved to spend his spare time fishing and camping.  He loved the outdoors but he especially enjoyed it when he could share it with others.  The best of times were always had by others that would sit around a campfire with Alvin, listening to the most outrageous and funny stories that could be shared.  Alvin was a true character that naturally drew others to him and he was loved by everyone he came in touch with.  Alvin attended Petra Baptist Church and knew the Lord Jesus Christ was his redeemer and true savior.

Alvin is survived by his siblings, Marvin and Linda Barker along with many nieces, nephews and countless friends.

While the family greatly mourns the passing of Alvin, they wish for everyone that knew him to rejoice his eternal existence re-united with his parents and Lord in his new found home in the Kingdom of Heaven.
