Michael Martin Simm
1944 – 2019
Michael Martin Simm passed away on September 4th of 2019. Michael was born in Yuba City California on May 9th of 1944. Mike graduated from Marysville High School in Marysville, California in 1963. Mike was a very quiet man, but a loyal and true friend. Mike loved to hunt, golf, collect coins, and travel. Mike visited many places in the world during his long military career of 23.5 years. He also traveled after his retirement. Some of his duty stations were in the Philippines, Japan, Eulisian Islands, Florida, New Mexico, and Colorado. Mike first joined the Air Force as a military Police Officer and completed his first 4 years of service in that role. Mike then departed and went to college and graduated from Chico state University. Upon receiving his degree, he decided to return to the Air Force in the field of electronics where he remained for the rest of his career. Mike’s last few Air Force roles were Chief Master Sargent in charge of Precision Management Electronic Equipment Laboratory’s. Mike and his loving wife Judy Simm met in California through military connections and married in 1990 in Redlands, California. After his retirement, Mike moved to Texas where he lived the rest of his life. Mike was a loving grandpa to Luke and Max. Mike enjoyed many adventures with a group of friends who will miss him with his humor and terrible singing voice. Mike will be deeply and lovingly missed by his wife, Judy Simm; his son and wife, Todd and Brooke Ragas; his grandsons, Luke and Max Ragas; his sister, Margaret Burman; his sister Janette Simm Perkins and husband Jerry Perkins; his sister Madeline Simm Maxey and husband Steve Maxey; his loving doggie Chloe; and many other family members and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Louis Simm and his mother Marie Vsetula Simm. Rest in peace.
A funeral service is going to be held at the DFW National cemetery on Septermber 10, 2019. at 1:30 p.m.
