Michael Vogt Obituary

Dr. Michael (Mike) Vogt was born January 3, 1953 in Sentinel, OK. He passed away in Springtown, TX on January 24, 2019. Mike graduated Dodge City, KS High School in 1971 and attended Kansas State University graduating with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1982.

He is survived by his daughter Megan Schultejans (Greg), Corning, KS, father Elmer Vogt, San Angelo, TX, brother Wes Vogt, Wickenburg AZ, and sister Barbara Owens, Topeka, KS his 4 grandchildren, Cooper, Dylan, Lilly and Mason and man’s best friend Pita. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lacy Deters and his mother, Bobbie Vogt.

He established Vogt Equine and throughout his career practiced in Kansas, Colorado, and Texas. His passion for providing quality care to equine was second to none.

Mike will be greatly missed by his family, friends, clients and colleagues.

A Celebration of Life will be January 30 from 7:00-10:00 at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Weatherford TX. Interment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Dr. Mike Vogt Memorial Fund, https://www.gofundme.com/mike-vogt-memorial-fund
