Nora Alene Murry
1944 – 2019

Nora Alene Murry passed away on January 9, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas.  Nora was born on August 15, 1944 to her parents, Lonnie Levi Voyles and Nora Myrtle Kerrick-Voyles in Thackerville, Oklahoma.

Nora was the sixth born of ten children.  She met and later married Paul T. Murry on November 3rd, 1961 in Gainesville, Texas. Paul and Nora would remain happily married until his passing in 2006. The family moved to Fort Worth were the kids attended school and Nora served on the PTA as well as a Cub Scout Leader.  She also served as the Chairman for the local Democratic Precinct for many years.  Nora was a wonderful cook and baker.  She ran her catering business for a number years where she enjoyed sharing her talents.  Family was precious to Nora.  She cherished all of the special moments spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always remain their loving “NaNa”.

Nora is survived by her son, Paul Murry and wife Lorraine; her daughter, Paula Dougherty; her grandson, Joseph Paul Dougherty and wife Anna; her grandson, Bryan Alen Murry; her grandson, Robert Anthony Murry; her granddaughter, Jessica Perri Wood and husband Robert; her granddaughter, Claire Foster; her grandson Tyler Lane Murry; her great-grandchildren, Zachary Himlin, Lily Himlin, Jayden Herford, Grayson Wood and Landon Wood; her brothers, Ronnie Voyles SR. and Leo Voyles and wife Sharon; she is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.

Nora is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Nora Voyles; her loving husband, Paul; her sons, Perry T. Murry and Luther L. Murry.

Though the family is saddened by their loss, her memory will remain in their heart’s forever.
