Pauline Clara Langer Goodall Cooper McMurrey 79, died Monday, May 20th at her home in Fort Worth, Texas, after a courageous 9 month fight with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. She was born November 12, 1939 in Fort Worth, Texas to Henry and Annie (Hubenak) Langer. She attended Northside High School and graduated in 1957. Pauline enjoyed traveling and reading and was an avid movie watcher especially films from the 1950’s and 60’s. She never missed the Academy Awards on TV each Spring and could answer any and all movie trivia questions and was a whiz at JEOPARDY and WHEEL OF FORTUNE! And, was known to watch an episode or two of JUDGE JUDY with her daughter.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Karen Goodall Morgan and husband, Neil and their children Phillip and Melanie and her son, Robert Cooper and wife, Susan and their son, Tres. Step daughter, Lisa McMurrey Foster Buhrow and husband, Leonard and children James Foster (deceased) and Meredith Foster. Step children Jimmy McMurrey and Stefani McMurrey Watters and children, Brother-in-law, Dr. Robert E. Phillips, and many cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Jim McMurrey, III, and her two sisters, Betty Ann Langer Phillips and Dorothy Mae Langer.
Arrangements are with Roberts Family Funeral Home in Fort Worth. A memorial service for Pauline will be
at 12 noon, Saturday, July 20th. In lieu of flowers- donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
