Alberta Lafaye Hennessy 1941 ~ 2018 Alberta Lafaye Hennessy went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 4, 2018. Alberta was born in Brownwood, Texas on November 22, 1941 to her parents, Herbert Edgar Richardson and Ima Lee Elkins. Alberta lived in Odessa, Texas for a short time before moving to Austin, Texas to attend, Texas School for the Deaf. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, the lotto, various sports, archery and especially football with an iced cold Pepsi. She was a Cowboys fan but definitely didn't discriminate when it came to her football time. Alberta loved taking care of people, she had a nurturing spirit that invited people into her presence. She loved getting the family together and spending time making memories with the grand kids. Anywhere Alberta went she was welcomed with open arms, she loved deeply and was loved 10-fold. Alberta will be missed for her sweet personality and her heart of gold. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:13 Alberta is survived by her daughter, Ima Peacock and husband Roger; her son, James Hennessy and wife Leanne; her daughter, Linn Hennessy and husband Derek; her sons, Mingo Garriott, Herbert Hennessy and wife Stephanie; her grandchildren, Amber Trotter, Sheree Phipps, Byron Phipps, Sheldon Peacock, Kaitlin Gibson, Elizabeth Hennessy, Ashley Lorenzo, Joshua Lorenzo, Haley Lorenzo, Gage Garriott, Nate Ambrose, Preston Hennessy, Chloe Hennessy, Gracie Hennessy, Paisley Hennessy; her great-grandkids, Seth Trotter, Kovey Peacock, Rowan Valentine, Tatum Peacock, Peyton Phipps, Lucas Maxey, Davis Phipps, Isaiah Hennessy, Nevaeh Guerrero; her sister, Betty Turner; her lifetime best friend, Joseph "Papa Joe" Dickens; along with many other loving family members and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Ima Richardson; her husband, Michael John Hennessy; her sisters, Pat and Maxine; her brother, Herbert; her best friend, Ginger "GiGi" Garriott.
