Arvel Stricklin, Jr. was born August 21, 1944 and died February 8, 2015, in Fort Worth, TX. He was known by many as a devoted Christian who was very well versed in the Bible. Arvel was a versatile musician, and could play many instruments. He played everything from Blues and Jazz to doing a rendition of Willie Nelson. Arvel was also an avid science fiction reader. He was a loving father, and dedicated friend. He is survived by his son, David Bryan Stricklin, daughter-in-law, Pati Stricklin, and former wife, Donah J. Stricklin, along with countless friends and fellow musicians. Arvel will never be forgotten, as we will always hold him dearly in our hearts.
