Barry Lynn Shipman, born on July 24, 1960, in Honey Grove, Texas, to J.L. Shipman and Maryann Shipman, left us on April 24, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family and community. Barry's life was marked by an unwavering love for God, family, and especially his grandchildren, whose hearts he filled with joy and laughter. His passion for spending quality time with his loved ones, especially during Sunday gatherings after church, grilling delicious meals, and cheering for the Cowboys during their games, defined his happiest moments. He cherished moments on the front porch with his beloved wife, finding and contentment in simple yet meaningful conversations. Barry's adventurous spirit was evident in his love for off-roading in his Jeep, enjoying the adrenaline rush it brought. Sports were an integral part of Barry's life, from watching football, baseball, and combat sports to developing a newfound passion for golf in his later years. His musical talents shone through his guitar playing, often accompanied by classic rock tunes that resonated with his soul. Barry had a fondness for horror movies and sci-fi, relishing the thrill they provided. He delighted in taking his grandchildren to Braum's for ice cream, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured. Among his many accomplishments, Barry, along with his brothers, owned and operated Shipman Snacks, leaving a mark in the business world. His athletic prowess was showcased through multiple championships with the Grand Prairie Bandits softball team, a testament to his dedication and teamwork. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found B&S Construction Company, leaving a lasting impact in the industry. Barry's commitment to community service was recognized when he was awarded Volunteer of the Month for his invaluable contributions to the city of Euless in 2016. Barry Lynn Shipman's life was a testament to love, passion, and service, leaving behind a void that can only be filled by the cherished memories and the profound impact he had on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

He has been reunited with his parents, JL & MaryAnn Shipman; sister, Sherry Shipman, and brothers, Scotty, Gary and Johnny Shipman in God's Eternal Kingdom.

Barry will be deeply and lovingly missed by his wife, Dawn Shipman, sons, Joshua Shipman and Jacob Shipman and wife, Mina; grandchildren, A'raylee and Zain Shipman; brother, Terry Shipman; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Emerald Hills Cemetery beginning at 10:00 AM.
