Bernardo Montes 1958 - 2016 Bernardo Montes was born February 3, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to Leonel and Maria Montes. Bernardo was one of nine children in the Montes household. Bernardo is survived by his brothers Robert and Raul Montes both of Fort Worth, Texas. He also leaves behind three sisters; Rufina Vargas of Durango, Mexico, Juanita Diaz and Ludivina Presas, both of Fort Worth, Texas. Bernardo was pre-deceased by both of his parents and three of his brothers, Joe V. Montes, Leonel Montes Jr. and Felix B. Montes. Bernardo met and later married the love of his life, Yeni Garriazo in January of 1998. They were married at Bernardo's sisters home in Fort Worth, Texas. Together, they had two sons, Eric and Raul B. Montes. Bernardo was the very proud grandfather of two granddaughters, Alexis and Priscilla Montes, both of Fort Worth, Texas. Family meant everything to Bernardo and he was incredibly proud of all of them. Bernardo was a graduate of Diamond Hill Jarvis Heights High School in 1974 and became a very skilled tile setter. He was very proud of his profession and his abilities. He worked laying tile in both residential homes, as well as, commercial buildings all over the metroplex. Bernardo was admired by his family for his strength, both his physical strength but also the emothional strength that he showed for his family. In his spare time, Bernardo loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt and to fish and was an avid sportsman. Bernardo will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
