Billy Earl Barrett 74 years old of Springtown, Texas left this life Monday March 14, 2016. Billy was born May 12,1941 in Neohoka, Mississippi to Thurman O. and Luna Mae Ladd-Barrett. Billy leaves behind his brother William Barrett. Billy met and later married Katie Lee Booth-Barrett. Together they raised four children, Billy Earl Tucker, Bille Jean Barrett-Walters, Wanda Elliott and Tammy White. Billy was a simple man. He enjoyed his garden, his tractor and most of all his family and friends. You might say he was just a good ole country boy! There usually wasn't a day you could not find him sitting outside under his big shade tree talking to a friend or neighbor who just was passing by. Even though our hearts are heavy we know now he is in no more pain and is with our lord and savior in heaven. Billy leaves behind six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends that miss him. Services will be held graveside Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Azleland Cemetery and Memorial Park.
