Obituary

Billye Norris Wesson Morgan

March 2, 1938 – June 19, 2026

Billye Norris Morgan, age 88, of Blue Mound, Texas, met her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2026. A celebration of Billye’s life will be held on June 27, 2026, at First Baptist Church Saginaw at 10:00 a.m. with a graveside service to follow. A visitation service will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Born on March 2, 1938, in Dimmitt, Texas, Billye was the oldest of three children born to Norris Ruben and Billye Mildred (James) Wesson. She graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1956.

On May 20, 1955, at the age of 17, Billye married Charles Morgan in Dimmitt, Texas. Together they shared 60 memorable years, raising three children and later rejoicing in the blessings of grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Billye was a committed wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother.

Billye and her husband, Charles, built a life together filled with hard work and dedication. Over the years, they moved multiple times before eventually settling in Blue Mound, Texas, where they made their home and raised their family. Throughout her life, Billye worked in a variety of roles, including a store clerk and a clerical assistant in doctors' offices, home health agencies, and hospitals. She and Charles also owned and operated three service stations. She established and ran her own cake decorating and wedding planning business. She served on the Community Link board and volunteered her time to support its work. No matter where life took her, Billye approached every endeavor with determination and a strong work ethic.

Billye lived a life marked by selfless love, generosity, and devotion to others. She consistently placed the needs of others before her own, freely sharing her time, talents, and resources. Fun-loving and outgoing, she had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. Billye was artistic, creative, a wonderful cook, a skilled seamstress, and a lover of music. Family was her greatest treasure, and she was deeply committed to caring for the people she loved. She lived out her deep faith in God through kindness, compassion, and service to others.

Billye left a lasting legacy of love and faith that will be carried on for generations through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by sons, David Morgan and wife Jana of Azle, Shawn Morgan and wife Lori of Argyle, and daughter, Carol Morgan of Tyler. She is the proud grandmother of Nicolas, Sarah, Lexie, Channing, and Charlie. She is a great-grandmother to Scarlett. She is also survived by her brother, Mac Wesson, and other beloved extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norris and Billye Wesson, her husband, Charles Morgan, and her sister, Janice Andrews.

Billye will be remembered for her steadfast love for the Lord, her devotion to her family, and the lasting legacy of faith she leaves behind. Though her absence is deeply felt, her loved ones rejoice knowing she is now in the presence of the One she loved most.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Carol Morgan’s missionary work with Living Alternatives, a cause that was dear to Billye’s heart and one she was honored to support.
