Bobbie Wayne Simmons
September 7, 1948 ~ October 10, 2017
Bobbie Wayne Simmons was called to be with our Lord and Savior on October 10, 2017. Bobbie was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 7, 1948 to her parents, Lester Wayne Sisk and Bobbie Frances Deskin.
Bobbie grew up in Reno, Texas. She came to know the Lord and was saved by grace at the age of four. Bobbie carried this love of the Lord with her throughout her life. As a youth, Bobbie enjoyed cruising with her girlfriends and had no idea she would meet the love of her life, Jessie Richard Simmons on one of these ventures. The couple married in less than two weeks, on December 19, 1966 at Walnut Creek Baptist Church. They later went on to start their family and have two beautiful daughters. Bobbie enjoyed making crafts and eventually tried her hand at painting. She was famous for game nights at grandma's and watching gameshows with Richard. Bobbie loved spending quality time with her family and all the memories that were made.
Our hearts are saddened by our loss of this amazing wife, mother, grandmother and sister but we rejoice in the knowledge that she has gone home to the Eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
Bobbie is survived by her loving husband, Richard Simmons; her daughters, Katherine Simmons-Green and husband Johnny, Marcye Simmons-Thigpin and husband Arthur; her brothers, Butch Sisk and wife Cheryl, Matt Sisk and wife Lisa; her grandchildren, Taylor Simmons-Sumner, Jordan Tatsak and husband Tommy, Jessie Simmons-Thigpin, Robert Simmons-Thigpin, Isaiah Simmons, Dresden Simmons; great-grandchildren, Amelia Tatsak, Alaina Tatsak, Alexander Tatsak; her sister-in-law, Aunt Betty; her nieces and nephew, Sarah, Cheryce, Chrystal, Jacqulyn, Josh, along with many other loving family and dear friends.
