Brent Leonard passed away early Friday morning, October 28, 2016 at his home on Eagle Mountain Lake, in Azle. He was 69 years old. Brent and Sharon moved to Azle in 2000 and enjoyed spending time on the water. Brent's final wish before he was too sick to walk was to take one more ride on his boat in the water. He was lucky enough to get to take that final boat ride with his wife on October 10. Brent devoted his life to God at an early age and was a true gentleman. Brent was known as the "miracle-man" to those who cared for him after surviving a brain aneurism almost 10 years ago. He died 5 times throughout the ordeal, as well as spent a year and a half in the hospital recovering. Throughout that time his devoted wife, Sharon, never left his side. He enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Joe and was a true NASCAR fan. He also loved to spend time in his workshop building or fixing things.
Brent was born on August 6, 1947 in Elmira, New York. Brent always had a funny story to share about how he and his friends spent their teenage years. One of his most famous stories was about driving the infamous "chicken-car". Brent always had a kind word to say about everyone he knew or met. He was genuinely a nice person and will be missed by those who knew him and loved him.
