Wood, Carol "Kay" Elizabeth, 70, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away November 20, 2016 at her home.She was born June 24, 1946 in Rochester, Minnesota to Dr. William and Patricia Ashe. She grew up and went to the schools in the Park Cities, North Dallas and Salado, Texas. Carol was preceded in death by her father and sister, Sibby Slaton, Kay's survivors include her husband Charles Wood, children; Chris Pennington, Mark Pennington, Matt Awbrey and Sarah Cooper, all of Fort Worth, Texas. Kathryn Breaker of Calgary, Alberta, John Smith of Fort Smith, Arkansas; sister, Sue Wetsel of Santa Fe, New Mexico; brother, William Ashe, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; mother, Patricia of Salado, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is remembered by her friends and family for her love for Jesus, her children, her family. She was also keenly interested in the preservation of our family food supply and the environment.
