Carol Lee Kimbrell
1950 - 2017
Carol Lee Kimbrell passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on May 27, 2017. Carol was born to her parents Lloyd Seely and Dorthy Cockran-Seely on November 14, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Carol was the youngest of three children growing up in her family home of Azle. While in high school, Carol met the love of her life, Robert Kimbrell. They would later marry on September 20, 1967 in Weatherford and lived in Azle until Robert was called to duty. The two would spend the next three years in Baumbholder, Germany, where they celebrated the birth of their first child, Mark. Carol, Robert and Mark returned to Texas and settled back in Azle and were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Whendy. Carol was very passionate and dedicated to her profession. She worked for the Tandy Corporation, later known as Radio Shack. She taught Computer Science at A.T.I. for many years. Carol was in the Computer Department at Alcon Laboratories. Carol ended her successful career working for Palo Pinto County until her retirement in 2014. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and the activities they shared. She loved riding her motorcycle and the freedom of the open road. She found peace and serenity in the splendor of nature while camping with family. She loved her animals including her three favorite horses, "Bubba", "Missy" and "Little Girl". Carol was many things to many people. She was a devoted partner and loving wife, a kind and nurturing mother, a proud and supportive grandmother and a friend to all.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Robert Kimbrell; her children Mark Kimbrell and wife, Misty of Tucson, Arizona and her daughter, Whendy Gunstanson and husband, Shawn of Mineral Wells; her grandsons, Alex Kimbrell and Marshall Kimbrell; her granddaughters, Sara Whitt and husband Chris, Hanna Gunstanson and Hope Gunstanson; her sisters, Patricia Dwight and husband Michael of Laguna Beach, California and Maria Simpson of Grand Prairie; her two brother-in-law's, David Kimbrell and wife Helen of Aledo and Thomas Kimbrell of Fort Worth; her sister-in-law, Linda Kimbrell of Fort Worth as well as numerous nieces and nephews along with many loving family members and friends. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Dorthy Seely; her son, Christopher Patrick Kimbrell; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Andy and Kathy Kimbrell and brother-in-law, Ronald Kimbrell.
Words cannot express the significance of Carol's life. Words can only fall short in comparison to the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Carol's memory will survive in our hearts and continue to live by the love we give to each other.
