In Loving Memory of César Enrique Centurión Morzan

1941 - 2023

Beloved son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, César Enrique Centurión Morzán (Henry) quietly and peacefully passed away on December 27, 2023.

Henry was the patriarch of his loving family.  His priority in life was always taking care of  his parents, siblings, and children.  Born in Lima, Peru on October 18, 1941 he was always first in his class and continued his education receiving his Masters from University of North Texas followed by his Doctorate in Bilingual Education from Texas A&I University.  He always valued education and instilled that love of learning in his children and grandchildren.

He will be remembered most for his love of family, his sense of humor and his outgoing personality.  He loved throwing himself down on the floor and playing with his grandkids, watching soccer and rooting for his favorite teams(Alianza Lima). Sharing a drink with friends and family and talking about anything and everything because he was full of knowledge no matter the topic.  His sense of humor was contagious and he wasn't afraid to be silly and have fun.  He loved to travel and his "consejos" were always given with love, concern but no obligation. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and loving him.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents Marco Enrique Centurión and Maria Esther Morzán de Centurión, as well as four of his eight siblings: Mercedes de Banich Centurión, Maria Paulina Romero Centurión, Luis Centurión and Ricardo Centurión.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Andrea Lupe Centurión and his two children Jennifer Centurión Medrano (Richard Medrano)  and Kenneth Henry Centurión (Nadine Wakim) along with five grandchildren, Joshua Richard Medrano, Christian Henry Medrano, Matthew Gabriel Medrano, Elise Sophia Centurión and Elina Josephine Centurión as well as his four remaining siblings Jaime Centurión, Maria Flores Centurión, Gabriel Centurión and Maria Nora Centurión along with countless nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be rendered at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Emerald Hills Cemetery.
