Obituary

Charles Joe Morgan (1929-2015) Charles Joe Morgan was born on October 8, 1929 in Whitewright, Texas, to his parents, Dewey and Lindal, and returned to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on August 11, 2015. Charles met and later married his wife, Billye, on May 20, 1955, in Dimmit, Texas. He was a devout Christian and ordained deacon. Charles served in the Korean War in the 72nd Tank Battalion and received the Bronze Star. He worked for the FAA, repairing air fields. Charles was an entrepreneur who owned his own service stations and he maintained Lake View Baptist Church for several years. Charles is survived by his wife, Billye N. Morgan, of Blue Mound, Texas, his sons, David Charles Morgan, and David's wife, Jana, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Norris Shawn Morgan, and Norris' wife, Lori, of Southlake, Texas, his daughter, Carol Denise Morgan, of Tyler, Texas, his grandson, Nicholas Morgan, of Fort Worth, Texas, his granddaughters, Sarah Morgan, of Fort Worth, Texas, Alexandria Morgan, of Tyler, Texas, and Channing and Charlie Morgan, of Southlake, Texas, and his two sisters, Sheila and Dean, along with countless friends. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Lindal, his brothers Jack and Donnie, and his sister, Helen. A visitation service will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM, and a funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM, at First Baptist Church-Saginaw, on August 15, 2015, under the direction of Roberts Family Affordable Funeral Home. Charles will be truly and deeply missed but never forgotten, as we will always hold him dearly in our hearts.
