Clifford Mayfield Charroux 1926 ~ 2016 Clifford Mayfield Charroux passed away December 19, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Clifford was born December 7, 1926 in Weatherford, Texas to his parents, Alphonso Pierre Charroux and Annie Edith Alford-Charroux. Clifford was a bright person inside and out. Everyone considered him more than a friend or simply a member of the family, instead he was a mentor that brought many teachings. In spite of everything, he suffered during his life, he never showed it. For Clifford, others mattered more and he was always willing to give and help with anything he could. Clifford was a very sharp looking man. Clifford wanted to ask Doris out on a date. So, he had a friend of his ask, but Doris replied, "No, not if he couldn't ask himself". However, the two finally dated and were later married on November 4, 1950 in Weatherford, Texas. From that day, they began their life together, as a happy family raising their daughter Cheryl together. Clifford was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish, hunt and go waterskiing at Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth. He tought many people to waterski. Clifford also had a big appetite for Mexican food, he loved to be out with his family spending time with them and having laughs together. Clifford had a great sense of humor, he called everyone, chief and he even went by the nickname, "Frenchie". Clifford leaves behind his wife, Doris Charroux and his daughter, Cheryl Callahan and her husband, Dennis. He also leaves behind his granddaughter, Lyndsay Clark, his great granddaughter, Emma Clark and his sister Anna Ruth Fisher along with other loving family members and friends. Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, Alphonso Charroux and Annie Alford, his sisters, Idabelle, Pearl and Annette along with his brother, Clyde Charroux. Though we mourn the loss of Clifford, we rejoice in his memory and the impact he left on us. A graveside service is to be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 1:00p.m. at Azleland Cemetery and Memorial Park located at 850 N.
