In Loving Memory of Cynthia Lynn Hardee

1952 - 2024

Cynthia Lynn Hardee, born on November 29, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Gene and Nancy Lacy, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024. Cynthia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her unwavering spirit and deep love for her family. Cynthia married the love of her life, Rickey Hardee, and together they raised six children, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and the sound of country music. She had a special fondness for Alan Jackson, and one of her greatest joys was dancing with her husband to their favorite tunes. Despite her small stature, Cynthia was a force to be reckoned with—a tiny but mighty spitfire who brought energy and passion to everything she did. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, from tending to her yard to engaging in friendly competition over computer games, card games, and dominoes. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Cynthia's love for her team was unmatched. During a game, she was laser-focused, and nothing could distract her from cheering on her Cowboys. Family was at the heart of Cynthia's life. She cherished the moments spent having cookouts and making memories with her children and grandchildren. Her legacy of love, strength, and joy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She has been reunited with her husband, Rickey Hardee; father, Gene Lacy; and children, Rickey Hardee Jr., Jennifer Cobb, and John Hardee, in God's Eternal Kingdom.

Cynthia will be deeply and lovingly missed by her children, Shelly Bray and husband, Keith, Misty Eshom and husband, Harley, and Mark Hardee and wife, Christine; mother, Nancy Sue Lacy; siblings, Christy Berlin and Russell Lacy; grandchildren, Justin, Amber, Kristen, Skylar, Chris, Kevin, Chase, Robby, Maurica, Brandon, Zoe, Jacob, Meghan, Cameron, and Dylan; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Roberts - Martinez Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM.
