Daniel Cienega

1954-2018

Daniel Cienega was born, March 29, 1954 to Alberto and Amelia Cienega, in Sweetwater Texas and passed away on August 25, 2018. His family moved to Mineral Wells, Texas in the late 1950's. Daniel attended Mineral Wells High School until he enlisted into the United States Army, in 1972. During his service he was stationed in Germany and Killeen, Texas, where he was a Food Service Specialist, SP5. He was honorably discharged from service in 1976. He married in 1972 and fathered two daughters. Daniel and his family moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida in 1978. Daniel returned to Mineral Wells, Texas in 1989. He began working for the IRS and moved to Fort Worth, where he met and married his current wife in 1994 and became a step-father to four young children. In 2003, he and his wife opened Cienega and Associates, a tax preparation business, in Fort Worth.

A special thanks to the Howell Family, for their added support. Daniel was more than a father to his children, he was a father figure and positive influence on everyone around him. He was a hero to many of his children's childhood and lifelong friends. He loved to be outdoors, fishing and camping. He had a passion for cooking and he especially loved cooking for his granddaughter, Nicole.

Daniel was survived by his wife, Brenda Cienega; two children, Vikky Shekha of Olympia, Washington, Lisa Cienega of Vancouver, Washington; four step-children, Julie Rotella of Syracuse, New York, Heather Ortega of Aledo, Texas, Steven Sillette of Fort Worth, Texas, and Nicholas Silletti of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers.

He will be joining his brother and parents in paradise.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM with service beginning at 12:00 PM at Roberts Family Funeral Home 5025 Jacksboro Hwy, Fort Worth, TX 76114, followed by a Committal service and Military Honors at DFW National Cemetery Dallas, Texas.
