DeAnn Barnes

1952 - 2022

DeAnn Barnes, age 69 and a loving mother of ten, chose her day, Mother's Day, to exit her earthly body and join her husband on May 8, 2022, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. DeAnn was born November 2, 1952, to R.K. and Dolores Dunlap. She enjoyed the outdoors, sewing and cooking. Mom was always trying to make someone laugh regardless of the situation. There was never a weekend that was not spent fishing and camping with her beloved husband, Bill and their children. With numerous grandkids and great-grandkids, she was able to spread her love amongst all of them and would never say, "no" to any of them staying with her. DeAnn is preceded in death by her one true love, Bill; daughter, Kimberly; parents, R.K. and Dolores Dunlap; and brother, R.K. Dunlap. She is survived by one sister, Kay Emery; children, John Sullivan and wife, Kristen, Thelma Nettles and husband, Jerry, Sherri Jannise and husband, Chad, Jamie Hines and husband, Craig, Mathew Barnes and wife, Doris, Leah Barnes and husband, Chris, Amy Hart and husband, Darrell, Rachel York and husband, Clint and Stephanie McClellon. She had 24 grandkids; and 12 great-grandkids. Mom will be missed dearly. Celebration of Life will be at Robert's Family Funeral Home, 5025 Jacksboro Hwy, Fort Worth, Texas, 76114 on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 2 p.m.
