In Loving Memory of Dolores Irene Diaz

1964 - 2025

Dolores Irene Diaz, a beautiful and very much-loved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend has passed away in Fort Worth, Texas on May 19th, 2025. She leaves behind joyful memories for her family and friends. Dolores was born in Odessa, Texas on April 19th, 1964. She is the daughter of Robert Madrid and Abelina Vargas.

Dolores is survived by her father, Robert Madrid; her three sons, Lee Diaz, Thomas Puentes, Alex Torrez, and her only daughter Cynthia Marin; She is remembered and cherished by her beautiful grandchildren: Anthony Diaz, Nichole Navarro, Alyssa Navarro, Lee Diaz III, Gabriel Diaz, Isaiah Lopez, Angelica Chavez, Michaela Chavez, Eduardo Chavez Jr., and Sophia Lara.

Dolores' brothers, sister, nieces and nephew also mourn her passing. Dolores has always had the biggest heart and prettiest smile. She was compassionate and humble, never hesitated to help anyone out unless it came to cooking- she was on plates and utensil duty. You knew when she entered a room, she was so vibrant with her bright red lipstick, big smile, and her infectious laugh- her beauty radiates from within.  Dolores enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She enjoyed her morning coffee chats and eating menudo with her mother or going out to Dos Molinas for breakfast. Although she loved her mother so much her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was an amazing mother doing all she could do for them. She made sure they never had to want for anything but most importantly she expressed her love to them proudly through their highs and lows. She is the definition of "unconditional love". Dolores was the oldest of siblings, all her brothers and sisters looked up to her with respect. She is a mother to more than her children but to her nieces, nephews, and the friends of her children.

Dolores is preceded in death by her mother Abelina Vargas, stepmother Margaret Madrid, and sister-in-law Gracie Madrid.

A remembrance of life for Dolores will be held on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at Roberts and Martinez Funeral Chapel in Haltom City, TX. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pm, to allow friends and family to pay their respect and share special memories of Dolores before proceeding with her last wish of cremation.

Dolores leaves behind many heartaches, but her memory is forever embedded in our hearts. The love, laughter, jokes, and fun memories our beautiful Dolores given us can never be outshined by her passing. Her memory will forever live, and her story will always be told.
