Donna Jean Austin Scharpenberg passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 10, 2022 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkingsons & Dementia. She was born June 27,1946 in Binghamton, New York to parents Herman R. Austin and Laura J. Bell. She was proceeded in death by one grandson, her parents and her brother Terry. She had many different jobs over her life from factory work at Honeywell, waitress,nursing home, and CNA. She was a graduate in one of the first classes that Huguley Hospital started offering again.she was super proud even though her body soon gave out. She was a homemaker, a friend,mom, grandma and great grandma.She loved to make people laugh, she loved to dance and play her guitar. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Duncan of Joshua,Texas, Susan Fettinger of South Carolina, son Russell Fettinger, 2 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, numerous great grandchildren and her best friend Carla.
