Elayne Bloom 4/28/1924 - 4/2/2018 Elayne Bloom went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2018. She passed quietly at her home in Aledo, Texas with her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter in attendance. She was beautiful outwardly and inwardly, gracious and loved people. She treasured visitors and always made them feel welcome. As a young woman in her teens, she loved to sing and was asked to join a travelling band to which her mother wisely said no. She was an executive secretary most of her working life, but developed an interest in real estate sales and changed careers. She had a passion for decorating and creating, so her later years saw her in the business of designing and selling gift baskets to those who wanted "one of a kind". It was a good description of her as well. She was a loving wife, losing her husband to a crop dusting accident in 1961. She was a loving mother who stayed ever devoted to her daughter and a doting grandmother to her granddaughter. Active in Calvary Chapel, Simi Valley, CA before moving back to Texas in 2017, she shared the wisdom of her years with the ladies of the Bible studies and worked to setup and decorate for events until it was no longer possible for her. Elayne was predeceased by her four brothers and leaves behind her daughter Traci Miller, granddaughter Layne Miller, son-in law Rick Miller and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved staying in touch with. Bless you, Mother, you will be missed beyond words. Memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel Simi Valley, CA on May 20th following Sunday service.
