Liz (as she preferred to be called ) was born November 26, 1934 in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of Agnes (Aiguier) and George Humphrey Jr. She graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School in Dobbs Ferry, NY where she met her future husband Harry George Rudolph Jr. She and Harry were united in marriage Nov 18, 1954 in Ithaca, NY. Harry predeceased her in 1998 and she had a second marriage to Charles Rogers of Fort Worth, Texas. Charlie and Liz were married in Ft Worth, Texas on May 6, 2000. Charlie predeceased Liz on June 22, 2018.
Liz is survived by her three children: Linda Gail Rudolph, Harry George Rudolph III and Richard John Rudolph, by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Liz and Harry lived in many places with Harry's Air Force career. She especially enjoyed their two diplomatic assignments, the first to Rabat, Morocco and the second to Ankara, Turkey. Prior to each of those assignments Liz and Harry spent a full year in Washington DC to study French (for the Morocco assignment) and Turkish (for the Turkey assignment). Liz quickly mastered both languages and was actively engaged in diplomatic functions in both countries. In addition to living in Morocco and Turkey, she traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Her favorite activity was playing bridge. Her greatest love was for Upper Chateaugay Lake in the Adirondacks, upstate New York and the many friends she had there. She and Charlie enjoyed sailing, Charlie's extensive family and their time spent together in Texas and in Upstate New York.
She was a vibrant person, always up for any challenge and will be missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at Azleland Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 23, at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, honoring a life marked by kindness, warmth, and a vibrant spirit that touched so many. Elizabeth's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
