Freda Marcille
Ingram
Sep 23, 1945 — Oct 5, 2026
Freda Marcille Addy Ingram, known to family and friends simply as Marcille, passed away in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 5, 2026, following a long battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). She was 81 years old.
Marcille was born September 23, 1945, in Commerce, Texas, to Otis Lloyd Addy and Martha Elizabeth Addy. She later made Fort Worth her home, attending Alexander Hogg School and Ernest Parker Junior High School before graduating from Fort Worth Technical High School.
Marcille possessed a remarkable combination of intelligence, strength, compassion, and determination. She worked hard, loved deeply, and gave generously of herself. Whether providing for her family, offering advice, or simply making sure the people she loved were cared for, she had an extraordinary ability to keep everything-and everyone-moving forward.
She spent 35 years with Alcon Laboratories, where she was a member of the International Distributions team before her retirement. Her long career reflected the same qualities she brought to the rest of her life: intelligence, dependability, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
At home, Marcille was a nurturing presence, an excellent cook, and a natural hostess who found great joy in bringing people together. Her home was a place where family and friends could gather, eat well, visit, laugh, and feel welcome. She had a way of giving of herself that often seemed effortless to those receiving it, even when it required considerable effort from her.
Marcille was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lynn Ingram; her parents, Otis Lloyd and Martha Elizabeth Addy; and her sister, Marie Fincher.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Brian Ingram and his wife, Tirzah Evans-Holland, and Christopher Lynn Ingram and his husband, Roel Hinojosa; her grandson, Tristen Nathaniel Ingram; her step-brother, Loyd Addy and his wife, Kay; her sister-in-law, Patricia Thebo; and several nieces and nephews.
Marcille shared a particularly special bond with her niece, Renee Updike, and Renee's husband, Andy, whose company brought her great happiness. Among the enduring relationships of Marcille's life was her friendship with Janie Kellett of Burleson, her best friend for more than 50 years--a friendship spanning decades of life's changes, milestones, joys, and challenges.
Marcille's legacy lives in the family she nurtured, the friendships she sustained, the traditions she created, and the countless ways she made others feel cared for. She was strong without losing her tenderness, capable without seeking recognition, and generous with her time, her home, her talents, and herself.
Her absence will be felt in countless ordinary moments: around a table, in a familiar recipe, during family gatherings, in conversations where her advice would once have been sought, and in the instinct to call and tell her something. The life she built and the care she gave remain part of the family and friends she leaves behind.
In accordance with Marcille's wishes, there will be no funeral or public viewing. Her family will remember and honor her privately.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Marcille's memory are encouraged to make a contribution to the Leukemia Research Foundation or another organization supporting research into the treatment and hopefully a cure for chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
