Garvy "Goldman" Corbin Sr 1935 - 2016 Garvy "Goldman" Corbin Sr passed away July 5, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. We celebrate the life of this wonderful man and cherish the time we had with him. Goldman was born May 21, 1935 in Mason, Texas to his parents Garvy Edwin Corbin and Missouri Kirkland-Corbin. Goldman was a gifted man with many talents that included painting, writing poetry, and many other things. Goldman received many awards for his talents. Goldman graduated from Temple High School and later met and married the love of his life, Carolyn Ann Shook-Corbin. Together they would raise their three children and were married 45 years until her passing. Goldman loved his family very much and would do anything for them. If anyone need help, they knew they could turn to him no matter what the circumstances were. Goldman is survived by his son, Garvey Corbin Jr and wife Jel; his daughter, Petra Ball and husband Jeffery; his step-daughter, Judy Dodson; his grandchildren, Aaron Corbin, Trey Cox and Ashley Mathews; his great grandchildren, Kara Corbin, McKenna Corbin, Kaitlyn Mathews, Corey Mathews and Chevy Cox; and his sister Romel Shelton along with many other loving family members and friends. Goldman is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Corbin. Goldman may be in heaven now, but I know he is looking down at us with a big smile on his face saying, "Move Forward - make the best of life - and I'll see you soon." Goodbye, Goldman, and God bless.
