Gary Lee Beckman May 8, 1947 ~ September 3, 2017 Gary Lee Beckman went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2017. Gary was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 8, 1947 to his parents, Gunnard Beckman and Evelyn Hadfield. Gary spent his formative years in Chicago. As a young man, Gary joined the United States Navy. He spent several years in service to his country. Upon being honorably discharged from the Navy, Gary found himself back in Illinois where he met Susan Shustitzky. The two married on October 21, 1972. Gary was a devoted husband, loving father and adoring grandfather. Gary will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege to know him. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Susan Beckman; his son, Bruce Beckman; his daughters, Sandra Beckman, Sherry Beckman; his brothers, Steven Beckman, Gorden Beckman; his sister, Barbara Neff; his grandchildren, Zachary Beckman, Christian Kniesel, Brooke Beckman, Bradyn Beckman, Nathan Beckman, Adrianna Beckman and Ava Beckman along with many other loving family and friends.
