Irene Mejia Herrera 1956 - 2016 Irene Herrera passed away September 28, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas to be with her Lord and Savior. Irene was born April 8, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to her parents, Fortino Ayala and Juanita Martinez Ayala. We will remember Irene for the kind and caring way that she loved each and every one of us. Irene met the love of her life, Jesus Herrera, in 1988 and the two were later married in Fort Worth, Texas on March 26, 1990. Together, the two would raise their children at their home in Fort Worth. Irene understood that people were different and needed love in their own way. She was a very caring wife, mother and grandmother. Family meant everything to Irene. Her life was revolved around her family. If she wasn't spending time with them at the house, then she would call to check on them. Irene loved going shopping and enjoying life. Irene is survived by her husband, Jesus Herrera; her daughter, Rebecca Ayala; her daughter, Norma Mejia; her son, Tommy Garcia; her daughter Melissa Lopez; her son, Jesse J Herrera; her grandchildren, Jacob, Julian, Serenity, Joselyn, Audrey, Abby, Madison and Emma; her brother, Joe Ayala and wife Alicia; her sister, Alicia Cabral and husband Chavel; her sister, Rosa Torres and husband Robert; her brother, Paul Ayala; many nieces and nephews along with many other family members and friends. Irene is preceded in death by her parents Fortino and Juanita Ayala. We will forever hold Irene in our hearts and will never forget the love that she shared with all of us. Funeral Services to be held Friday September 30, 2016 at Roberts Family Funeral Home Chapel followed by a Committal service at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, Texas.
