Jackie Ray Little

1946 - 2022

Jackie Ray Little went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on October 8, 1946, to his parents, Jack and Bethel Little, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jackie grew up an avid boxer and loved being in the ring. In 1956, Jackie won the Midget Golden Gloves at the Panther Island Boys Club, which he was proud of, and was interviewed by his grandson, who wrote a paper about him for college. Jackie worked as a truck driver for 50 years and got to see many places around the United States during his travels. When Jackie wasn't on the road, he loved to gamble for fun and took many trips to Winstar Casino in Oklahoma and to Las Vegas to visit the many casinos the city has to offer.

Jackie loved to go shopping, watch TCU games, and talk politics, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. His family was the light of his life, and he was always entertaining them with laughter and jokes. Jackie would cook and barbecue for his family any chance he had. He loved to barbecue, and some of his backyard barbecue favorites were brisket, ribs, potato salad, and deviled eggs.

Jackie was a wonderful man and will be deeply and lovingly missed by his family and friends.

Jackie was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jack Bailey and Bethel Ann Little; his sisters, Joyce and Johnnie Faye; and a brother, Dubs.

He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his sisters, Peggy Perry and Patricia Bush (Leon); his sons, Jack Newman Little and Kevin Little (April); his daughter, Regina Henson (John); his grandchildren, John Henson Jr. (Andrea), Kasey Henson (Daisey), Kristopher Henson (Kisa), Kelsey Jenkins (Steven), Krissy Little (Daniel), Kasidy Little (Derek); his great grandsons, Kasey Bubba Henson, Eli Henson, Holdyn Jenkins, John David Henson III, Kristopher Henson Jr, Kaison Henson and a great granddaughter, Maggie May. By numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply and lovingly missed by Alyssa and Chris.
