James Eugene Bess
1963-2016
James Bess passed away August 25, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. James was born October 27, 1963 to his parents, Al Bess and Uvale Siliga-Bess in Las Vegas, Nevada.
James worked as a general manager for a restaurant where his professionalism was recognized by all that saw his work and talented skills. James brought laughter and happiness to everyone he came in contact. James never met a stranger and was a very active and energetic father and son. James was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and even taught all the kids how to fish. James was a tournament director for fishing for three years. James was once renowned as the angler of the year for Western Outdoor News Bass Association. James was the person that did everything, he would even spend some of his time playing videos games like Call of Duty with his grandkids. James was also a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, fascinated by his state's team, he never missed a game. James always had his earphones in and loved to sing his music out loud at the top of his lungs regardless of who was listening. Family meant everything to James and James meant everything to the family, always spending his time with them. James was the Papa to all the nieces and nephews. The Lord was important in James's life, as he followed the word of God, James was a member of High Ridge Church in Benbrook, Texas.
James is survived by his wife, Rosetta L. Bess, his mother, Urale S. Bess, his sisters, Angela Gonzales, Lisa Bess, Billie Bess, his brothers; Kendle Anspach, and Ray Anspach. James is also survived by his daughters; Pamela Hughes, Paula Corniel and husband Kirk, grandchildren, Jacob Corniel, Samantha Doyle, Mason Corniel, Adian Corniel, Christi Hughes, and Trey Hughes. James also leaves behind his great grandchildren, Mylie Corniel and Kaynan Corniel along with many other loving family and friends.
James is preceded in death by his father, Al Bess, his brother, Alfred Bess, his daughter, Christi Price and his nephew, Michael Landeros, sister-in-law, Beverly Passmore and his great niece Baylee Passmore.
While the family mourns the loss off James, they wish everyone to come celebrate and rejoice his reunion with our Eternal Father, his memory and the life lived.
A visitation will be held Friday September 2, 2016 from 9:00-11:00am, followed by a service at 11:00am all here at Roberts Family Affordable Funeral Home.
