James Alton Chamberlain Jr.
December 7, 1939 ~ October 28, 2017
James Chamberlain Jr. was laid to rest on October 28, 2017 to await the resurrection in Christ. James was born in Eagle Pass, Texas on December 7, 1939 to his parents, James Alton Chamberlain Sr. and Sylvia Bishop.
James spent his formative years in Quemado, Texas. At the age of five he earned his first nickel shining shoes and picking cotton. As a young man James decided to join the United States Army. He was a successful marksman and even earned a sharp-shooter medal. Upon discharge from the military, James pursued his education and eventually earned his Doctorate of Law. James met Vickie Wallace, they were friends for 20 years before they got married on February 15, 1997. He enjoyed reading, often more than one book at a time. James had a huge heart for people in need as well as animals. James will be missed for his heart and dry sense of humor, and remembered as a God-fearing man, who loved God, Family and his Country. He was the truest definition of unconditional love.
We are saddened by our loss of this incredible man, but our hearts are lightened by the knowledge of his being in the eternal Kingdom of God.
James is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Chamberlain; his son, Marc Lipman and wife Maritza; his daughters, Mendee Lipman-McKeehan, Amber Lipman; his grandchildren, Joseph Lipman, Jesslyn Lipman, Mathew Lipman, Katelyn McKeehan, Steven Lipman, Ryan McKeehan, along with many other loving family members and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Sylvia Chamberlain.
