In Loving Memory of Janet T. Hall

1937 - 2024

With profound sadness we announce the passing of our Mother, Janet Hall on February 6th, 2024, after a long fight with Vascular Dementia.

Janet was born January 22nd, 1937, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Edmond & Frances Stoffel.  She met her husband in high school, was married and began raising her 5 children.

After her divorce, as a single parent, Janet embraced the challenges and financial adversities of raising five children by herself by working three jobs, one being the administrative assistant to the Dean of Men at Southwest Missouri State University.

If you would have ever asked Janet what was the most important part of her life she would have answered "her five angels and her Catholic faith".  Her unconditional love for her children and passion for her Catholic faith was the reason she was adamant her children attend catholic school until they graduated high school.  Shortly before retiring Janet followed her children and moved from Missouri to Texas.

In her free time, Janet loved to bowl, play bridge and garden in her backyard.  She enjoyed giving back to her community and was awarded Woman of the Year 1993-1994 in Watauga for volunteering many hours at the Public Library.

These past few years weren't easy ones for Janet. The devastating effects of her disease which included watching her lose her cherished memories and having her personality change so much from what she used to be were difficult.

Janet leaves behind four children Gary Hall (Jeannie), Ron Hall, Nancy Stephens and David Hall (Karen); four grandchildren Daniel Millican, Tyler Hall, Garrett Hall and Grant Hall; brother Gordon Stoffel and sister Marion Newbauer St. Paul, MN.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Hall, mother Frances Stoffel and father, Edmund Stoffel.

Please join us for a celebration of her life at Good Shepherd Catholic Church: 1000 Tinker Road, Colleyville, Texas on Monday, February 12th at 11:00am.
