Obituary

In Loving Memory of Jason Pope

1976 - 2026

Jason Pope, 50, didn't just live life—he kept the beat for everyone around him. On June 5, 2026, Jason quietly transitioned into eternal life at his home in Haltom City, TX, leaving behind a legacy as loud and vibrant as a stadium drumline.

Jason’s journey began on May 20, 1976, born to Michael and Rosaland Pope at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, TX. From the very start, he was a burst of energy. His youth was filled with laughter, tight-knit cousins, and fearless acrobatic stunts. By the time he walked the halls of O.D. Wyatt High School (Class of 1994), Jason found his true obsession: the drums. If an object could make a sound, Jason was drumming on it. His kitchen counters, steering wheels, and tables served as his lifelong instruments.

High school also brought Regina into his life. The two married and shared 17 beautiful, foundational years together. Later in life, Jason’s heart found another chapter of deep companionship with Sara, whom he met in 2011 while working at Heil Trailer. They spent 15 wonderful years side-by-side.

Jason’s rhythm extended to everything he touched. In his adult years, he fell in love with roller-skating, turning his kitchen into a dance floor where he practiced new moves until they were pure perfection. A dedicated fitness enthusiast, Jason loved working out, but he loved helping others hit their own fitness goals even more. Professionally, he followed his father’s footsteps into welding. Jason took that spark and ran with it, building an impressive career at Heil Trailer, Trail King Industries, Anchor Fabrication, and Hamilton Form.

But of all his titles—drummer, skater, master welder, and mentor—Jason’s absolute favorite was "Dad." With six daughters and one son, Jason was a natural-born father. His children were his ultimate pride, and he spent every day making sure they knew they were deeply loved.

Jason was the ultimate go-to guy. Whether you needed tough-love life advice, a new workout routine, or a hand fixing a broken-down car, Jason was always there, ready to help. His physical presence is gone, but the tempo he set for his family will play on forever.

Jason is survived by his loving life partner, Sara Cisneros, and his cherished children: Chistinece Pope, Taylor Pope (Tristin), Tatum Pope, Tori Pope, Jaizlyn Sanders, Cecilia Pope, and Jason Pope Jr. His legacy lives on through his three grandchildren, Chase Wiley, Chance Wiley, and Zoriah Gasper. He also leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Michael and Rosaland Pope; grandmother, Cecilia McCoy; siblings, Andrea Shed, Michael Pope Jr., and Corey Pope; nieces and nephews, Alexandrea Shed, Ke’Andrea Shed, Kevin Shed Jr., Michael Pope III, Ricky Pope, Courtney Pope, Asia Pope, and Corey Pope Jr.; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.Jason was reunited in death with his paternal grandparents, Wilbia and Rosie Pope; his maternal great-grandmother, Alice Horton; his maternal grandfather, Alonzo Whiting; and his cousins, Courtney Craff and Tonya Ayala.
