Jessey Dellray Lefevere 1945 ~ 2017 Jessey Dellray Lefevere, 71, also known as J.D., passed away on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 at Westridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Grapevine, Texas after a long-fought battle with Parkinson's Disease and complications of Type 2 Diabetes. J.D. was born May 24th, 1945 in Anson, Texas, to Raydell and Elsie Lefevere, along with brothers, Martin Lefevere and Jessie Raydell Lefevere, and sister, Brenda (Lefevere) Rieger. J.D. graduated from Anson High School in 1963. J.D. married Melissa Ann Carnithan on February 13th, 1982 at Westside Assembly of God in Davenport, Iowa. They raised two children, Taylor Rhea Lefevere, now 25, and Chandler Addison Lefevere, now 20. J.D. served two tours during the Vietnam War as a U.S. Navy Seabee, where he was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Later in life, he worked various positions within the franchising and sales industry. J.D.'s hobbies included many things such as sports, especially golf and football, a joy of reading business literature, and building start-up companies from the ground to successful and thriving competitors in the franchise sales industry. J.D. loved his home state of Texas and had a soft spot for country music and country western films. J.D. will be loved and greatly missed. Survivors include his daughters; Taylor and Chandler, and wife, Melissa Lefevere, of Coconut Creek, FL, his sister, Brenda Lefevere-Rieger and her husband, Randall of Whitney, TX; his brother, Martin and wife, Susan and his nephew, Ryan, of Brownfield, Texas along with many other loving family members and friends. J.D. was preceded in death by his brother, Jessie Raydell, his parents, Raydell and Elsie Jewell. Services will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery Monday, April 10th at 9:30 a.m. located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy Dallas, Texas 75211.
