Jimmie Dwane Bennett 1935 - 2015 Jimmie Dwane Bennett was born July 22, 1935 in Eldorado, Oklahoma to John Johnson Bennett and Nettie Opal Williams-Bennett. Jimmie was one of three children in his family. His sister, Judy Bennett resides in Santa Monica, California. Jimmie's brother Eugene Bennett pre-deceased him. Jimmie left this world on April 17, 2015 to return to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. Jimmie met and later married June Annette Parker. They were wed on December 29, 1958 in Gainesville, Texas, as Jimmie was being drafted to serve in the United States Armed Forces. Together he and June had three beautiful children. Two girls, Deidre A. Bennett-Stephenson and Desiree Bennett-Cole and a son Chris Bennett. Jimmie was many things to many people. Jimmie's first career after his military duty was working for Tandy Corporation for eighteen years in management. Jimmie and June started Lake Auto Parts in Lake Worth and later expanded to Reno, Texas. They owned and operated the stores for about 30 years. Jimmie also owned and operated Bennett Ranch in Wise county, Texas. Jimmie was very proud of his family. He and June have four grandchildren, Josh Bennett of St. Louis, MO., Cassady Kirk of Aledo, TX., Tyler Wayman of Waxahachie, TX and Cole Bennett of Azle, TX. They also have three great-grandchildren, Fynn and Everett Bennett of St Louis, MO and Skylar Wayman of Aledo, TX. Jimmie will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Each person that Jimmie knew will treasure the memories created and the moments in time that they were able to share, as these memories will keep his memory alive and he will never be forgotten. Jimmie's funeral service will be held at Azle Church of Christ in Azle, Texas on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2:00PM under the direction of Roberts Family Affordable Funeral Home. Interment is scheduled to follow the funeral service at Azleland Cemetery and Memorial Park.
