In Loving Memory of Joan Elizabeth Sutton

1947 - 2024

Joan Elizabeth Sutton passed away on August 5th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Joan loved listening to music, spending time with family and friends and she was known for her giving nature and loved a good joke. She also loved reading scriptures in her bible and her faith was unwavering. Her contagious laugh and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family and her friends will strive to honor Joan's memory by spreading the same humor and kindness she valued.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Edith Ray; her adoring husband, Ira Ray Sutton; her daughter, Lalainya Reid; her son, Timothy Chavez; and her sister, Patricia Brewer.

She is survived by her sisters, Vickie and Mary Ray; her children, Lonny Ray Sutton, Sarah Tucker, Armando Chavez, and Troy Chavez; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members and friends.

A Graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, August 16, 2024, at Curtis Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas.
