Jorge Alaniz Garcia, 53, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 due to natural causes. Jorge was born on March 4, 1964 in Edinburg, Texas to Adela and Francisco Garcia. Jorge was a professional painter; he started his small business in the early 90's where he worked all around the DFW area with his brother Javier Garcia and best friend Joe Diaz. Jorge married his soulmate Norma Garcia on July 9, 2008. Their relationship began with them confiding in each other after they both endured some life problems. They had a relationship that went beyond physical attraction; they showered each other with unconditional love. He was so happy to have met her because they both had loving hearts. He was known for cooking her dinners and buying her roses to express his love for her. Norma cared deeply for Jorge and devoted her time to getting him the medical attention he needed in the past few years, while he battled a heart condition, diabetes, and kidney failure which led to long-term dialysis.
Jorge was survived by his wife, Norma Garcia; his children John Anthony Reyes, Angel Reyes, Crystal Rodriguez, Frankie Garcia and step daughter, Jennifer Medina and a long, precious list of grandkids. Jorge was known for his gorgeous green eyes, his wise words and dancing. Jorge loved spending time with his wife and sons at Lake Tawakoni, fishing with his Abu Garcia fishing rod. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold Em' with his brother Javier, daughter Angel and son in law Tony. He appreciated a good game of chess; he was kind of a big deal on a chessboard. He also loved a very fun, yet serious game of monopoly. He was an excellent cook and spent lots of time in the kitchen, he was known for his extra cheesy tex-mex enchiladas; he was also an expert in pie making. He cherished the times he spent camping, making tamales with his brother and sisters and just spending time with his kids and grandkids. Jorge was previously married to Isabel Garcia, in whom he had 4 kids with; they shared a great 18 years of marriage together before they divorced. We are all saddened by this unexpected loss, he will be deeply missed. In our hearts you will always be... your love, your voice, and your smile are forever imprinted in our minds.
Jorge is preceded in death by his father Francisco Garcia, mother Adela Garcia, sister Sandra Rodriguez and niece Clarissa Rodriguez; who are all welcoming him at the gates of heaven and touring him through the streets of gold.
Pallbearers will be John Anthony Reyes, Frankie Garcia, Tony Rodriguez, Martin Gausin, Rene Vargas and Vincent Robles.
