Jose F. Trujillo, 78, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Ozona, Texas, to Damiana and Francisco Trujillo, Jose lived a life defined by service, dedication, and laughter. After graduating from Ozona High School, he earned his bachelor's degree from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. Jose proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1968.
Following his military service, Jose began a long and distinguished career in law enforcement. He graduated from the Fort Worth Police Academy in 1972 and went on to serve as a police officer and juvenile probation officer in Fort Stockton, Texas. He later became the Chief Adult Probation Officer in West Texas, a position he held for 15 years, before serving as Warden for the Law Enforcement Center in Pecos, Texas. After decades of service to his community, Jose concluded his career with Securus Technologies, where he worked for 23 years before retiring in 2020.
Jose was known for his humor, quick wit, and ability to make everyone around him laugh. His warmth and good nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Susana; his children, Monica McMahon, Steven Trujillo, and Kristy Trujillo; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
