Katherine Susan Whisonant 1948 - 2018

Katherine "Katy" Susan Whisonant was called to be with her Lord and Savior on September 4, 2018 while surrounded by loving family members.  Katy was born May 5, 1948 to her parents, Wayne Duncan and Irene Partin in Harlingen, Texas.

Katy was very active in her church, Triple Cross Cowboy Church. Her spiritual relationship was very important to her and took every opportunity to be a disciple of the faith by sharing her testimony and scripture with others.  Katy loved her family dearly and treasured the time spent with them.  She was very strong willed and intelligent. Katy enjoyed her garden and cherished her pets.  Her memory shall remain in our hearts forever.

Katy is survived by her husband, George Perry Whisonant II; her daughters, Carol Ann Whisonant-Smith and husband, Darrell Wayne and Jennifer Renee Whisonant-Smith and husband, Todd; her sons, Thomas Perry Whisonant and wife, Jennifer Faye and Timothy Paul Whisonant and wife, Michelle Lynn; her grandchildren, Ashley, Jennifer-Kate, Joshua, Allisabeth, Christopher, Lauren, Trevor, Anthony and Emily; her ten great grandchildren; her sister, Carol Peterson, along with other family members and friends.

Katy is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Irene; her grandchild, Alexander and her sister, Emily.
