Ken Wilson Potts 1955-2016
Ken Potts passed away June 3, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Ken was born on February 9, 1955 in Starkville, Mississippi to his parents, Howard Calvin Potts and Wanda Lee (Rounds) Potts. Ken was a resident of North Richland Hills, TX. Ken worked with Overnite Transportation/UPS Freight for 20 years in the home office in Richmond, VA as well as other locations including Fort Worth and Dallas, TX. A 1989 graduate of Oklahoma State University, he was always seen wearing orange and cheering on his Cowboys. Ken never met a stranger and loved to cook for his friends and family, especially his Grandad Clay Potts's famous barbeque. He was also active with the United States Table Tennis Association as an International Umpire.
Ken is survived by his children, Anthony Potts and wife Tabitha of Van Buren, AR, Jeremy Potts of Hurst, TX, Cortney Manis and husband Patrick of Hurst, TX and the mother of his children Eva Potts of Bedford, TX, 6 grandchildren, Steven Potts of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Nancy Browne and husband Tim of Hartsville, SC as well as many other loving family and friends.
Ken is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Neal Potts and mother and father; Wanda Lee (Rounds) Potts and Howard Calvin Potts.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Gateway Church, 7501 Davis Blvd, North Richland Hills, TX 76182 at 3:00pm.
