Larry James Ferguson, born on August 17, 1943, in Brownwood, Texas, passed away on June 2, 2026, in Azle, Texas. He was married to Pat Ferguson on February 26, 1982 in San Angelo, Texas. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and grandfather who dedicated his life to his family and his work as an electrician in the oilfield industry, primarily with ARCO.
Larry was known for his love of the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, which he enjoyed greatly with his father and brothers. His passion for woodwork also showcased his creative side, allowing him to express his craftsmanship in various projects. He adored spending time with his grandchildren, often giving them a hard time about his beloved golf cart, which became a source of laughter and cherished memories.
He is survived by his daughters, Missy Ferguson, Christa Ferguson, Lanie Ferguson Cole, Tina and husband Randy Silvas, Laurie Constable, Debbie Redfield, and Tamara Robbins, as well as his grandchildren: Nikki and husband Bobby Winters, Dusti Winters, Chance Lindsey, Megan Silvas, Jake and wife Karson Lindsey, Joseph Silvas, Miranda and husband Dan Carney, Caycie and husband Brian Settlemier, Courtney Robbins, and Daniel Viscaino. Larry is also survived by his sister, Sandra Ferguson Davis and husband Lon, his brother Jackie Ferguson and wife Sherry, and his sisters-in-law Sheila Ferguson. As well as his 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Larry's warmth, humor, and dedication to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family will announce memorial services to honor his life and legacy in the coming days.
Larry was preceded in death by: Father James Ferguson, Mother Clois Ferguson, Wife Pat Ferguson, Brother Ronnie Ferguson, and Granddaughter Jamie Robbins.
