Leslie Gaylon Nail
1938 - 2016
Leslie G. Nail was born August 30, 1938 in Runnels County, Precinct 5, Texas to his parents J.L. Nail and Lela Harper-Nail.
Leslie was a hardworking man that spent his early years working in the oil fields. He was a celebrated carpenter and loved working in the cabinet shop where he was known to build exquisite furniture. He loved giving his furniture creations to his family members as gifts. Leslie met the love of his life, Billie Nail. The two lived life for each other and were happily married until her passing in 2001. Leslie will be remembered as such a loving and caring husband to his wife. You could always count on Leslie. More than anything, you could count on him giving away something when he left your company, even if was just his infectious smile. Friends thought of Leslie as one of those rare breeds of people that was just a perfect gentleman through and through. Leslie loved a lot of things in life, not least of which was horses. Leslie was an accomplished musician and loved to play the guitar and dance. His friends and family will truly miss this kind and gentle man.
Leslie leaves behind his daughter, Sharon Lewis; his son Wade Nail; his daughter, Coleen Nail; his son-in-law Jimmy Burson; his grandsons, Ricky Fain and Shawn Burson; his great grandchildren, Jessica Fain, Shelby Burson and Bryce Burson; along with other family members and friends. Leslie also leaves behind his "Rusty's Angels".
Leslie is preceded in death by his late wife of thirty years Billie Nail; his daughter Paula Burson; his sons, Edward Miller and Charles Herring.
Leslie will be truly missed, never forgotten, forever honored.
