Obituary

Louis Marvin Roatché, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and Vietnam veteran, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, at the age of 79 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Born on February 7, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Louis proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he spent 34 years working at Strawbridge & Clothier, a Philadelphia area department store chain where he was a buyer for electronics. He later fulfilled a longtime dream of owning and operating his own retail business for over 20 years with locations in Cape May, Stone Harbor and Ocean City, NJ.

Louis is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Roatché, daughters, Sally Castro and Michele Williams; sister, Ann Bennett; and his three grandsons, Joshua, AJ and Samuel Williams. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Roatché.

A devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan, Louis found joy in baseball, enjoyed trips to the casino and watching his grandsons play high school and college sports. He will be remembered for his quiet and unassuming nature, and the deep love and devotion to his wife of 55 years.

No memorial service will be held.
