Loyd Yates, 76, of Azle, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 in Fort Worth, TX surrounded by his close family. He was born a twin, on July 6, 1945 to Grady & Bernice Yates in Carthage, TX. Loyd was a retired professional carpet installer. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, BBQing for his family or working on cars.  He also could spent countless hours bowling and shooting pool.  Loyd was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Grady and Bernice; twin brother, Boyd Yates; brother, Leroy Self; sister, Pauline Cox; and granddaughter, Krystyna Kendrick.

Loyd is survived by his best friend and companion of 53 years, Alice Yates; his 5 children, Cindy, Angie, Debbie, James and Jessica; brothers, Carl, Grady, Bobby and Joe; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
