Margaret Irene Morton, age 100, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.  She was born on September 6, 1921, in Murray County, Georgia to Gordon and Inez Davenport.  Irene was a kind and loving person who treated everyone as a friend.  While not having children of her own, she treated her three step-daughters, nieces, and nephews as if they were her own.

Margaret Irene Morton will be deeply and lovingly missed by her niece, Tammy Teague of Saginaw, Texas; nephews, Eddie Davis of Fort Worth, Texas and Wayne Davis of Aledo, Texas; step-daughters, Tara DuPlanty of Burleson, Texas, Carrie Lawson of Plano, Texas, and Mona Almand of Burleson, Texas; and a host of extended family and friends.

Family, friends, and others whose lives were Irene touched are invited to attend a visitation at Crowley Cemetery, 300 North Hampton Road, Crowley, Texas, 76036, on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  A Graveside service will follow.
