Socorro Cerda Montalvo partió al encuentro del Señor el pasado 27 de Agosto del 2021 en Odessa, Texas. Amada hija de Luis Montalvo y María Del Refugio Alejo nació el 15 de Febrero de 1939 en Monterrey, Nuevo León, México.
Socorro era una inigualable madre, hermana, abuela, y amiga. Fue una persona trabajadora y alegre. Disfrutaba de bailar y le gustaban mucho las muñecas.
Es precedida en muerte por sus hijos, Alfredo Cerda, Rodrigo Cerda, Faustino Cerda, Luis Cerda, y Alfonso Cerda.
Le sobreviven par honrar su memoria sus hijos, Guillermo Cerda (Paty Cerda) y Natividad Cerda (Rosa Cerda); sus hermanas, Irma Montalvo, Concepción Montalvo, Herlinda Montalvo, Alejandrina Montalvo; así como muchos nietos, bisnietos, sobrinos, y amigos.
