With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Ines Herrera, who departed this life on August 12, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on February 17, 1941, in Batesville, Texas, Maria was the cherished daughter of Jose Ines Torres and Paula Limones.

Maria was a beloved mother, known for her warm heart and boundless love. Her culinary talents were unmatched, with her flour tortillas and beans being the highlights of every meal. Her joy extended beyond the kitchen as she found great pleasure in watching novelas and listening to romantic music. Maria's sense of humor and kindness touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Maria will be deeply and lovingly missed by her son, Salome Ortiz, her daughters, Jesusa Lara, Erlinda Ortiz, Paulita Jasso, Rosa Maria Teran, and Carmelita Ortiz, sixteen grandchildren, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roberts - Martinez Funeral Home Chapel
